In the planning, before anything gets milled.
For a skeletal open bite the reliable standard is still orthodontics, sometimes with surgery. A restoration doesn't move a jaw. But when a patient's path is restorative, the new occlusion still has to be designed somewhere, and that happens before the first unit exists. This patient had a history of open bite and mild proclination of the lower jaw. Dr. @drripa 's full mouth rehabilitation ran twenty eight units in ProXzir porcelain layered zirconia, four of them on implants in the esthetic zone with custom milled abutments, shade OM1. The vertical, the contacts and the anterior guidance were worked out with the doctor in planning, then built into the restorations one unit at a time. The current literature calls interdisciplinary planning an early, continuous process rather than a final step. On a case like this, that's the whole difference. 📩 Rehabilitating a bite?
