Maryland Bridge Support FAQs

Find answers about product specifications, workflows, and what to expect for each case

What's the success rate of a Maryland bridge?

Long-term retention depends on enamel-bonded wing surface area and occlusal load. Single-pontic anterior cases with light occlusion perform best. We can advise on wing design from your scan or impression.

Should I choose PFM or PEEK?

PFM is the proven, insurance-friendly default with hand-layered esthetics. PEEK is the metal-free option for patients with metal sensitivity or where lightweight bonding is preferred. Both are fabricated from the same prescription.

Can I get an acrylic provisional while the definitive is being made?

Yes — acrylic Maryland bridges (1 tooth / 2 wings) are available as transitional coverage. Send the same Rx and we'll fabricate an interim alongside the definitive.
